Apropos Pferd 2026 – THE highlight of equestrian events in Austria

For many, it is the highlight of the year in the Austrian equestrian scene – Apropos Pferd at the Arena Nova! Anticipation is high as the trade fair opens its doors again this year from October 1 to 4, 2026.

As one of Austria’s largest horse shows, Apropos Pferd has enjoyed great popularity for over 30 years. With a diverse program that combines elite sport and leisure riding, it offers something for every horse lover. In addition to the Grand Prix of Sportland Niederösterreich, the international 3* show jumping tournament at the Arena Nova features three world ranking jumps, an indoor eventing competition, and an international 4* dressage tournament. World-renowned riders from all over Europe and their horses will thrill trade fair visitors and experts alike.

Another highlight is the international show program, featuring guests from across Europe. Be there when western riders take you on a journey to the Wild West, and cheer along as our stunt riders perform daring maneuvers. We are convinced: our four-legged stars will delight the audience. Let yourself be enchanted and carried away by our one-hour show program!

The popular western tournament is also returning this year, offering exciting competitions for riders from home and abroad. In addition to the Ranch Trail, Ranch Pleasure, and Ranch Riding disciplines, visitors can look forward to a special highlight this year: for the first time, an additional western competition will be held in the main hall. Experience the fascination of western riding up close and enjoy thrilling sport in a unique atmosphere.

For those eager to learn, there are once again numerous informative lectures with and without horses that you can attend daily. Find out everything about alternative products, training methods, and riding styles, and ask our experts your questions directly on-site.

The supporting program in the small riding arena provides a comprehensive overview of various techniques and methods for handling horses. Admire the diversity of different breeds and find out more about the numerous horses for sale. Afterwards, you have the opportunity to visit riders and trainers in the stable tents to gather more information. Our generous catering options and the diverse program for children make the fair a perfect destination for a family outing, even for non-riders. The variety of specialist exhibitors offers you a unique opportunity to shop and learn about the latest products and innovations for perfect harmony with your horse. Furthermore, you can meet some Austrian horse influencers in person at the Meet & Greet to round off the day perfectly. There are also many hands-on activities for our younger guests again this year!
