Simon Schwarz & Manuel Rubey present “Liebe” at Arena Nova
On Saturday, March 18, 2028, at 8:00 PM, Simon Schwarz and Manuel Rubey will present their second joint stage programme for the first time at Arena Nova Wiener Neustadt.
Love and democracy are in crisis. Simon Schwarz and Manuel Rubey won’t be able to change that either. Nevertheless, they have set themselves the goal of understanding loving as a verb again. Wild melodies and big emotions meet small everyday catastrophes. And again and again the question arises: How do we manage to choose love despite everything?
Simon loves it at supersonic speed,
with drums, lightning, and thunderclap.
He has chili for breakfast, pure and raw,
and says: “Sure, logical, anyway!”
Simon loves the here and now!
Best of all here, preferably there.
He yawns at a sprint, he dreams on the run
and gets up before the alarm rings.
Simon loves the pace a lot,
but he loves Manuel more.
Manuel loves quiet laughter,
well-thought-out, well-planned things.
He irons shirts with a system
and doesn’t even find that extreme.
He loves notes, neatly sorted,
he’s even archived coincidence itself.
He loves a book with a dog-ear
and still reads the blurb first.
Manuel loves all of that a lot,
but he loves his Simon more.
