They found each other. Two arch-comedians, two full-blooded musicians, two crowd-pleasers, two exceptional performers, and above all, two friends. Thomas Stipsits and Viktor Gernot finally together on stage with their cabaret program ‘Lotterbuben!’ They have impressively proven over the past decades that they both, as solo artists and as team players, are among the fixed stars of the Austrian entertainment scene.
As ‘Lotterbuben,’ they will portray characters, sing songs, play guitar, and parody, full of playfulness, humor, narrative desire, and curiosity. And they take their audience on a journey through the reflections and perceptions of two Austrian cabaret greats. A look at our world full of irony and satire, between philanthropy and incredulous astonishment. And all this with the competence of two seasoned men, virtually representatives of two generations. Generation X meets a Millennial. The old, white man meets the forty-something. An old jazz musician meets the Austropop artist. The childless one meets the father of two. And it always resonates that behind these ostensibly serious and undoubtedly credible protagonists, two seasoned ‘Lotterbuben’ are also hidden. Rarely malicious and always with a twinkle in their eye, these rascals, these scoundrels, these ‘Lotterbuben,’ play and sing their way through their first joint program.
