THAT WAS APROPOS JAGD 2025

“Apropos Jagd” in Wiener Neustadt confirms its future potential

From April 25 to 27, 2025, Arena Nova once again opened its doors for the second edition of “Apropos Jagd”. 105 exhibitors – an increase of around 35% compared to the premiere – presented their offerings for hunters and nature lovers. Special thanks go to the exhibitors and partners who made this event possible with their commitment and trust. Their dedication has once again shown how important a high-quality platform for the hunting industry in Eastern Austria is.

Potential for the Future

Gerald Stangl, Managing Director of Arena Nova, summarizes: “We are grateful for the trust of our exhibitors and partners, who make this fair possible. Even though visitor numbers remained at the previous year’s level, the Wiener Neustadt location and the timing have proven to be very suitable. Eastern Austria needs a hunting fair – and we see great potential to further develop ‘Apropos Jagd’.”

Highlights from the supporting program:

・Dog demonstrations and presentations of hunting, police, and rescue dogs
・Live butchering and grilling demonstrations
・Nature trail & riddle rally designed by the Warth Agricultural College.

Riddle rally and nature trail inspire young visitors

The interactive offerings were particularly popular with young fair visitors: The riddle rally organized by students of the Warth Agricultural College playfully combined knowledge and nature experience. Together with the nature trail, children and adults could be introduced to central topics around hunting, forest, and nature in an illustrative way.

Voices on the fair:

Elisabeth Bernecker (Haykid Waldkids & Jagdschein.at)

“This was our first time at the fair this year, and we are very satisfied. It’s great to see how we are fulfilling our educational mission together. If children lose their connection to nature, an entire generation loses its connection to life. That’s why it’s so important to make nature tangible and understandable for them – they are not only the hunters of tomorrow, but also the guardians of our nature.”

Renate Knorr (Border Terrier Association)

“The potential in the field of hunting dogs is enormous. The demonstrations and presentations were very well received. We would be delighted if this area were further expanded in the future.”

Martin Fehringer (Sales Austria at Steyr Arms)

“We were pleased to be back in Wiener Neustadt. The location is excellent, the audience interested and knowledgeable. It is important to have a strong fair in Eastern Austria that presents our range for hunters and sport shooters.”

Klaus Eder (Area Sales Manager Ammotec)

“This was our first time participating this year, and we are very satisfied. The quality of visitors was good. We particularly appreciate that the fair takes place before the start of the hunting season.”

Robert Idl (Managing Director of IDL GmbH):

For us, Apropos Jagd is much more than a public fair – it is an important trade fair for Eastern Austria. The concept is convincing: instead of a party atmosphere, in-depth consultations are the focus. That’s exactly what we appreciate. The fair offers great potential and is an important date for us. That’s why we will be represented with an even broader range in 2026 – including products from Jakele, Rössler, EAW, and Noblex.

A big thank you goes to Haykid Waldkids, the Hubertusrunde Wiener Neustadt, Wiener Neustadt Stadtwerke, and So schmeckt Niederösterreich, who supported us directly and indirectly at the fair.

Date for 2026 confirmed

The “Apropos Jagd” will again take place on the last weekend of April in 2026: from April 24 to 26, 2026, at Arena Nova, Wiener Neustadt.

THAT WAS HAUS & GARTEN 2025

Sustainability, Nature, and Innovations

Sustainable building and living, nature in the home and garden, ecological and resource-saving solutions for indoors and outdoors: HAUS & GARTEN 2025, with more than 240 exhibitors, once again impressed from February 20 to 23, 2025, with a comprehensive overview, up-to-date information, and plenty of fresh ideas for home and garden.

At Haus & Garten 2025, everything revolved around resource-saving, energy-efficient, and responsible building and living – a topic that benefits both the environment and the wallet. More than 19,000 visitors came to learn about innovative concepts across four halls, ranging from living space planning and efficient heating systems to the creation of a “green oasis” in one’s own garden. There was also keen public interest in new building materials such as clay, wood, or wool; these are not only sustainable and resource-saving but also enable future-proof construction with a view to coming generations.

Energy Efficiency in Focus

Energy is currently a problematic and costly topic, whether for heating or electricity consumption. By saving energy, not only can environmental impact be reduced, but costs can also be lowered. Manufacturers of modern facade systems informed visitors about aesthetic aspects combined with excellent energy efficiency. Various heating approaches were also presented – including tiled stoves, wood, hybrid, and solar heating systems, heat pumps, or pellets – with experienced specialists on hand to provide advice and help find the optimal solution for everyone.

Innovative Windows and Doors

Modern technologies ensure that no energy is lost: Sleeker window frames and large, high-quality glazing meet the highest ecological standards while offering an impressive view, which visitors could experience firsthand. Whether for new purchases or replacements, intelligent, energy-saving products demonstrated how living can become smart and comfortable.

Individual Living Style

The personal touch in one’s own home is created through carefully selected interior design that reflects the residents’ personality. At HAUS & GARTEN 2025, visitors could experience fascinating living environments and witness the craftsmanship of manufacturers, including stylish furnishings and renowned kitchen exhibitors. The exhibition and information offerings ranged from interior finishing to elegantly designed furniture, healthy sleeping environments, aesthetic home textiles, complete furnishings, and airy conservatories. Today, kitchens are far more than just cooking areas – they function as communication centers, living spaces, and creative design oases. Over several hundred square meters, renowned exhibitors presented inspiring trends and exclusive trade fair offers that were entirely dedicated to modern kitchen concepts.

Climate-Friendly Gardens

Gardeners and landscape architects provided information on how nature and living can be harmoniously combined. They also demonstrated how to address the challenges of climate change, for instance, by using newly bred plants, and placed climate-friendly gardening at the heart of the exhibition.

Innovations for building and renovation were presented at the joint exhibition stand of the Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster NÖ. Here, visitors found the most interesting trends and innovations at the ecoplus Bau.Energie.Umwelt Cluster’s exhibition stand. Experts from the cluster network provided personal advice on all topics related to new construction and renovation.

Knowledge and Consulting Services

In the lecture garden, interested visitors found exciting expert lectures and practical tips. For example, Radio NÖ gardener Johannes Käfer kicked off a successful gardening year on Thursday. New to the program was Günther Nussbaum, who presented helpful advice for house building and was subsequently available for personal consultations. The creative cooking presentations with herb hostess Gerda Stocker (with samples) also provided variety and inspiration. One had to be quick to attend lectures such as “Nature in the Garden” with Petra Hirner, with climate gardener Joachim Kugler, or garden expert Franz Gabesam; these lectures enjoyed great popularity. The NÖ energy consultations with specialists on old building modernization, photovoltaic systems, and electricity storage systems also garnered significant interest.

Arena Nova Managing Director Gerald Stangl: “The 32nd HAUS & GARTEN 25 once again proved to be a current and important information platform this year for all who want to build and live sustainably, conserve resources, and update their knowledge in these areas. For the first time at this HAUS & GARTEN, Wiener Neustadt’s city center businesses also presented themselves at a joint exhibition stand.”

THAT WAS SPRING VITAL & ENJOYMENT 2025

Spring Vital & Enjoyment: Inspirations for a Good Life

From April 4 to 6, 2025, Arena Nova was once again dedicated to well-being, joie de vivre, and attention to detail. This year, numerous health-conscious individuals and connoisseurs gathered at the Spring Vital & Enjoyment fair. A special attraction was the brand new enjoyment market in Hall 4. The HochzeitStil fair and the forever60 Senior Fair also combined proven content with new highlights. With the spring-like fair landscape, there was something for every visitor.

The Spring Vital & Enjoyment fair has long been a fixed point for everyone who wants to recharge their energy and find inspiration. Numerous exhibitors present products and services related to health, vitality, mental strength, fashion, cosmetics, nutrition, and well-being. Visitors could get an idea of their physical condition through meridian measurements or sound wave therapy, and learn how to start spring vital and fit through free hearing analyses or beauty and fitness information: all offers focused on active experience and trying things out.

In Hall 1, interesting demonstrations and numerous lectures also took place. A varied and inspiring program awaited visitors on all three days of the fair. A special highlight was the belly dance workshop by Angela Szalai. Aerial acrobatics, aerial yoga, square dance, Italian fashion shows, and many interesting lectures were well attended on all fair days.

Enjoyment Market as a New Attraction

Completely new to the fair program was the enjoyment market in Hall 4. Here, gourmets got their money’s worth; upon entering the lovingly designed enjoyment market, one could already sense the culinary treasures awaiting visitors. Local producers, winemakers, and delicatessen manufacturers presented their delicacies. An offering of international delicacies and tastings invited visitors to enjoy with all their senses. In special workshops, experts shared their previously well-guarded secrets of new taste experiences.

HochzeitStil Fair – Everything for the Big Celebration

Those planning their wedding found everything their heart desired at the parallel HochzeitStil fair. Hand-picked exhibitors – from floristry to photography – were on hand for personal consultations in a stylish ambiance. The fashion shows were particularly popular, showcasing dreamlike wedding dresses, elegant suits, and the season’s trends. A highlight was the fashion show by Austrian star designer La Hong. Of course, enjoyment was also well catered for – with fine canapés and refreshing drinks from the cocktail truck. The lovingly put-together goodie bags for all visitors rounded off the HochzeitStil experience.

For the third time, the forever60 – the eternally young Senior Fair took place as part of the “Spring Vital & Enjoyment”. The event is increasingly establishing itself as Lower Austria’s fair for the active over-60 generation. The diverse offerings and high information content were consistently well received, especially the workshops and specialist information tailored to the target audience were highly valued by the public. The fair’s themes ranged from health information to mobility and further education, which is gaining increasing importance among the older generation, from language acquisition to university-level continuing education. In the “digitalfit” program section, workshops on specific topics were held continuously – from simple computer questions to helpful apps and internet scams. For the coming years, thematic expansions are planned, both in the exhibitor area and in the supporting program, based on the emerging focus of visitors.

Arena Nova Managing Director Gerald Stangl: “The four major fair themes were very popular with visitors; with the wide range of offerings, there was something suitable for every guest. The new, lovingly designed enjoyment market proved to be a particular crowd-puller, generating enthusiasm with active culinary experiences. We are delighted to welcome more and more visitors as regular guests with the thematic breadth of this popular fair and thank our exhibitors for their magnificent presentations.”

We would be delighted if you would join us again – or for the first time – in 2026!
